Technology As standard, the all-new ŠKODA Superb comes very well-equipped. Indeed, baseline SE trims are loaded with desirable tech, including an eight-speaker sound system (featuring DAB radio), which can be controlled via an eight-inch touchscreen or the car’s multifunction steering wheel. Also included are two USB ports (1 x USB-C and 1 x USB-A), Bluetooth and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the latter of which is wireless. This outstanding family car comes with Euro NCAP’s full five-star crash-test approval – and a host of standard-issue advanced driver assist features. For instance, in the unlikely event of an accident occurring, Automatic Post-collision Braking System minimises the risk of secondary impact.

Interior Wide-opening rear doors make passenger access a breeze, and if you thought the Mk. III Superb was spacious, you’ll be delighted to learn that its successor is even bigger. There’s abundant room in both compartments, and the driver and co-passenger are provided with height-adjustable seats (and a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel). In the rear, the vehicle more than comfortably accommodates three full-size travellers. The car’s boot has increased in size too, by 30 litres, bringing it up to an impressive 625-litre volume – with rear seats folded, total capacity expands to a van-like 1,760 litres.
